All mosques in Morocco are typically open to nonMuslims, However, it is always best to ask permission before entering a mosque, particularly if you are traveling without a guide, and in areas that are not often frequented by tourists.
The dress code for entering mosques in Morocco is generally the same as it is for entering mosques anywhere in the world. DesertTrips recommends that women carry a lightweight scarf with them if they intend visiting mosques, since many mosques require women to cover their hair before entering. Some mosques will also require women to cover their legs; arms and shoulders. If you are visiting the mosques with your guide, they will keep you well informed at all times.
As a general rule, there are no significant health concerns to worry about when travelling to Morocco.
The biggest health concerns for tourists are sunburn; heatstroke and gastrointestinal complaints, the latter almost always being caused by drinking tap water or by eating food at questionable restaurants and/or street vendors. If in doubt, please talk to your guide.
Many tourists want to sample local “street food” and most don’t encounter any problems. The best advice anyone can give is that you stick to places where there are a lot of customers. Not only is their food more likely to be fresh, but it will more often than not also be good.
